History Through Fiction Expands with New Imprints: HTF Romance and HTF Fantasy
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – History Through Fiction, an independent publisher renowned for its meticulously researched historical fiction, is thrilled to announce the launch of two new imprints: HTF Romance and HTF Fantasy. These imprints will focus on historical romance and historical fantasy, offering authors a unique platform to blend historical authenticity with imaginative storytelling.
Founded in 2019 by Minnesota author and historian Colin Mustful, History Through Fiction has built a reputation for publishing high-quality fiction rooted in accurate historical research. The new imprints, HTF Romance and HTF Fantasy, continue this tradition by seeking captivating stories that educate readers about real historical events and figures while providing an engaging narrative experience.
HTF Romance and HTF Fantasy consider all submissions for both hybrid and traditional contracts. This approach reflects our commitment to supporting authors who are serious about their craft and eager to share their imaginative, well-researched narratives with the world.

Submissions are now open year-round for full-length manuscripts ranging from 60,000 to 120,000 words. Authors are encouraged to submit a query letter, a synopsis of 500 words or less, and the first 10-15 pages of their manuscript. HTF Romance and HTF Fantasy welcome submissions from both first-time and experienced authors, with a strong emphasis on promoting voices from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities.
